URGENT PRAYER REQUEST! Our New Leper Colony!

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST - from Deborah Cofer

Our prayer warriors in India were attacked by an angry mob a few days ago.  Thirty of our members were present on a gospel trip to a nearby city, including widows, children, and some pastors. As the group marched down the streets handing out tracts, singing, preaching, and praying for the sick, they were attacked by an angry mob. The furious mob surrounded them and beat them savagely with rods and brooms. One of our young men was severely beaten and his clothes were ripped off.  Our leader in India, Mrudula, was beaten across her back.  Our people retreated, TO PRAYER! They regrouped at the newly established Prayer Healing Center run by five dedicated praying widows.

They prayed for a few hours and then went back TO THE VERY SAME PLACE and handed out the last of the 2,000 gospel tracts. After they handed out the tracts, even though they were very sore and bruised, they went to a leprosy colony and ministered. They took blankets and food and laid hands on the sick. The lepers are not being fed so they must beg to get what they need. The stigma of leprosy is devastating in India. One man has no hands because the leprosy destroyed them. Streams in the Desert International, Inc. will now care for these lepers.  We will make sure that they do not have to go on the streets and beg to get food.  Please pray we get the financial help we need to support them!
