~ Introducing one of our Hope Home Children ~

This is the testimony of Sruthi Joycy one of the young women leading the Sunday School in the slums. She is now in school to become a G.N.M. (General Nursing of Midwifery)!

Sruthi's Testimony:

When I was two months old, my own mother left me in the dust bin (garbage can). In the dust bin I was crying and someone heard my voice and took me out. Now that mother looked after me. We were a very poor family. My father was a drunkard and he left us for another woman. He didn’t care for us. My mother was doing servant work to feed me. Now you are supporting me to study.

Streams in the Desert International Inc. is dedicated to saving and transforming lives through the gospel of Jesus Christ. Founded by Rev. Deborah Cofer - President Streams in the Desert International, Inc. ​ We share the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world. We are also dedicated to saving orphaned, abandoned and neglected children and widows in India. We provide shelter, nutritious food, clothing and education in a safe and loving environment for 70 children and 37 widows, providing nutritious meals and a safe home, paying for the children’s educational expenses including tuition, uniforms, shoes, books, and everything the children need to be successful. At the present time we are operating 2 Hope Homes (Girls and Boys).
