Sunday School in the Slums

Our Little Ones and teens in India are amazing! They are taking the gospel into the slums of India.  The Hope Homechildren are powerful prayer warriors, evangelists and worshipers. We have some older teens who are now studying to become nurses and engineers.

The Lord continues to bless our work in India! We have 75 children attending good schools and being cared for in our Hope Home. Recently we lost the boys' rental house. We were able to move our boys into a different rental and gathered deposits and everything they needed for the move. We are feeding 75 children 3 healthy meals a day and providing for all of their needs. The children are amazing. They are so compassionate and want to tell everyone about Jesus. They are sharing evening meals with hungry street children. Some nights 100 children are being fed. I cannot express how powerfully the love of Jesus is being spread by our children and widows. They are also sharing their food with hungry street children in the evening. Up to 100 are being fed at dinnertime. I could not do it without monthlyfinancial help!  Thank you so much! It is making an eternal difference in so many lives.

I received this report recently from Mrudula, the director of all of our ministries in India.

Amma, Hope house children are growing spiritually and physically. Every Sunday Deborah and Kamaly are gathering children in the slum areas. They are teaching the children some songs and sharing the Word of God like small stories in the Bible and they are teaching them to pray. Recently we established three branches of Sunday school in different areas. Sunday evening the 2nd group led by Sruthi Joycy and Shiny*. They are teaching Sunday School in another slum area. And the 3rd group is led by Jyothsna and Neerisha. These two girls are running Sunday School in another place. I am sending boys also, Raja and Rohit and Suresh and Sai, these boys are also helping the Girls. We just started this ministry to the slum children.

Amma, What ever we are doing here is by the glory of God and we are expanding the Kingdom of God. So mama, God is watching every thing we are doing here. These are some of the things we are doing by your prayers and your encouragement and by your financial support. Thank you Amma. daughter. (Mrudula)

These new leaders are our young men and women who have been with us living in the Hope Home for several years. They are incredible!

*“Shiny” was given as a new name that the young woman received after becoming a Christian. When a new Christian takes a Christian name it sets them apart. Many Christians are persecuted for their faith in India. The people who profess Christ in India are very bold and courageous. Our children are all very fearless and vocal about their love for Jesus.

We could not do all of this without your monthly financial support! Sometimes I scream "JESUS HELP!" and it seems that there is always someone who will contact me or send a gift.  THANK YOU!  Thank you so much! It is making an eternal difference in so many lives!
